The Sandman Hotel Group is looking for a professional, organized, and motivated Central Reservations Agent (Rate Management) for the Central Services Department.
In addition to servicing our guests with all their reservations needs and inquiries, the position entails the accurate implementation and maintenance of rates and availability for the entire Sandman, Sandman Signature, and Sutton Place Hotel brands.
You will ensure Rate Management tasks are processed in a timely manner in coordination with the Central Reservations, Revenue, and Marketing departments.
This position will appeal to those who are detail and task-oriented with a thirst to gain further knowledge and growth.
JOB REQUIREMENTS :
Must be able to work full-time (40 hours per week), including varied hours, statutory holidays, and weekends to meet the demands of the job.
Must be able to work remotely from home with a dedicated workspace.
Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
Must have excellent command of the English language.
Strong multi-tasking, professional communication, and organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
Must be able to type 60 WPM and possess fast and accurate computer data entry skills.
Must be able to commit to intensive full-time 3-4 week in office training (office located in Richmond, B.C.)
Ensure inbound reservation calls are answered in a professional and courteous manner and established procedures are adhered to without failure.
Ensure that proper selling techniques are utilized to sell all properties.
Ensure all paperwork reservations, emails, and faxing are completed or responded to in a timely fashion.
Answering all inquiries pertaining to individual hotels; including room types, rate, facilities, as well as surrounding areas.
Ensure all inbound property requests for rate and inventory updates are processed across applicable channels for each property.
Ensure that all rate loading tasks are completed within assigned deadlines.
Assist with the setup and maintenance of PMS / Channel Manager integration systems.
Assist with the build of new properties and room types.
Actively communicate with Central Reservations Agents on phones with detailed rates / promotions / package updates.
Complete all duties as assigned by supervisors and managers.
APPLICABLE SKILLS :
Must have basic knowledge / experience with Maestro and / or Opera PMS.
Familiarity with Online Travel Agency extranets and Synxis GDS would be an asset.
Solid communication skills, both oral and written.
Adaptable to change and able to handle multiple priorities under pressure.
Ability to operate and work well with others. Has a willingness to learn with a drive to perform efficiently. Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
