Responsible for achieving customer objectives, Key Performance Indicators, and targets by implementing strategies and tactics while managing customers in a manner that will achieve profitable long-term growth.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Consistently monitor and deliver the volume and financial goals for suppliers and SGWS
  • Responsible for tracking the regional budgets
  • Manage the communication between our suppliers and key customers (E.g. Liquor Boards, Key Accounts, etc.)
  • Working with our external stakeholders to ensure inventory levels are sufficient to meet consumer demand
  • Develop high-level customer relationships that will drive measurable results
  • Work with Key Customers to bring new brands to market
  • Coordinate between various departments at SGWS (Supplier Management, Sales, Finance, etc.) to ensure commercial drivers are achieved
  • Collaborate with Sales Commercial Integration manager to ensure proper program execution and pricing to deliver expected ROI and support the Division where necessary
  • Attend on-site promotional functions at established customer accounts (e.g., winemaker dinners, product launches, and tastings)
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
  • Additional Primary Responsibilities

    Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five years of industry-related sales experience within the distribution, hospitality, or supplier community
  • Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license and ability to obtain and maintain auto liability insurance by State laws
  • Comprehensive understanding of wine and spirits to include regions / varietals, product / food pairing techniques, basic production, and service
  • Ability to create and sell innovative ideas
  • Must have strong negotiation skills; demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Ability to work overnight travel as required
  • Proficient at calculating commissions, percentages, and reviewing comparative sales data for analysis
  • Ability to participate in business meetings, company initiatives, and events upon request
  • Ability to work flexible hours which include early morning evenings, and weekends
  • Ability to adapt and can assist a variety of internal customer groups and varying personality types
