Our client is looking for a Senior Business Analyst.The full-time position will be located onsite in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada.
The intended start date for the role is July 3, 2018. A project for which a resource may be needed for is for Business Analysis activities for the Reservation Service Software Upgrade and 2019 Launch Project for the Govt.
The project activities that the selected resource will participate in include, but are not limited to : - Collecting and researching information related to business objectives-
Facilitating workshops to validate information- Documenting requirements and workflow- Defining / documenting business test case scenarios.
Another project for which a resource may be needed for is the ITSM Implementation Project with the Ministry of Energy and Resources.
The project activities that the selected resource will participate in include, but are not limited to : - Use an existing organizational change management plan and conduct organizational readiness activities to prepare business stakeholders for an ITSM implementation.
Consolidate application changes and services requests, and assist in cleanup of backlog items.- Assist in the setup, implementation and support of the following ITSM Processes : Knowledge, Request, Organizational Change and Release Management.
Develop monitoring and control processes and transition these processes to process owners and managers.The Senior Business Analyst helps business users understand their respective business processes and resolves issues using technology, processes, people and structure.
This position plays an integral and strategic role in organizational success, as they are a key player in helping the business to make informed strategic decisions.
They are responsible for managing business requirements and must ensure that requirements are met by project managers, built by software developers, delivered effectively by a secure system of networks, tested by quality control, managed by the data owners, and accepted by the customers and stakeholders.
As this will be an iterative process, the Business Analyst may be leveraged on other projectsas required. The successful individual(s) will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties :
Apply a business analysis framework for success.
Document Business Process and Workflow Models (As-Is and To-Be).
Document Use Cases based on Business Process and Workflow Models.
Effectively analyze information, problems, situations, practices or procedures.
Elicit, document, manage and communicate functional and non-functional requirementsthroughout the project lifecycle.
Analyze business requirements and translate into business rules.
Define and scope the business problem or opportunity and identify solution and / oralternative solutions.
Verify that the solution meets the requirements and quantify the benefits and costs ofeach solution.
Identify any risks, issues and assumptions with the solution and contribute to aneffective control and risk management process.
Work closely with technical teams (Architecture, Application and System Developmentand Design, Network, Security, Operations) to ensure their translation of requirementsto solutions meet the needs of the users and integrates into the overall GoSarchitecture.
Act as a liaison between technical teams and Subject Matter Experts (SME’s), etc.
Research, develop, and recommend the implementation of new approaches andtechnological solutions for data and integration services.
Create and document feasibility studies, business cases, technical assessments, RFP / RFIrequirements, project charters, user manuals, system manuals, policies, processes andprocedures, etc.
Create and manage a robust plan for testing that ensures the end product supportsbusiness processes.
Create, coordinate and execute test scripts, utilizing formal testing methodologies toverify that system and business applications meet specific requirements.
Lead the business SMEs through the process of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensurebusiness requirements are sufficiently identified, traced and functional in the finishedsystem.
Provide quality assurance in relation to the accuracy and integrity of the informationprovided in the solution.
Facilitate meetings and workshops with internal and external stakeholders.
Prepare and deliver presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
Prepare the business for organizational change by conducting organizational readinessactivities.
Develop training, training materials and facilitate training for both technical and nontechnicalaudiences. Familiarity with the Government of Saskatchewan technical and business landscape will bean asset for candidates The resource will be required to participate in consultant performance evaluation asdeemed appropriate by the Ministry.
