Exciting Challenges

Under the authority of the Senior Vice President Finance and Administration, the Factory Controller is responsible for the following tasks :

Review the standard costing in SAP according to the group standards.

Review yearly factory rates based on capacity planning and implement in SAP

Responsible for developing and maintaining transfer pricing costs to make sure local profitability

Monthly review of purchase price variances to determine correct standards.

Monthly review of production output variance related to all factories

Prepare various financial reports for month end

Calculation of each factory’s profitability for reporting

Operational reporting of KPI and GRI for all factories

Quarterly evaluation of inventory and distribution of complete costing list to all business unit VPs

Attend Local Expert Team (LET) meetings

Monitor and review inventory statistics (overstock / inactive / slow moving stock).

Control Inventory count planning and inventory differences for each plant.

Cooperate with and assist the auditors with inventory counts, cut- off documentation and inventory reconciliation

Attend inventory counts at selected sites to ensure Sika inventory standards are followed

Lead calculation and reporting of Save initiatives Operations, R&D, Procurement

Proper management and labelling of the assets with inventory numbers in all factories

Assist business unit VPs in special project bidding with collaboration of R&D and Procurement

Assist R&D with cost estimation for SIP portal for new project launches.

Prepare various financial information reports and variance analysis for month / quarter and year end closings.

Prepare annual budget; local and group format.

Report inventory statistics by business unit (overstock / inactive / slow moving stock).

Analyze trends in inventory (including Product Line Simplification Analysis), investigate and implement necessary changes to improve performance.

Develop factory organization reporting.

Maintain Sika internal control system manual.

Cooperate with and assist the auditors on accounting and tax audits (R&D claims and T106 forms).

Assist Senior VP in other special projects.

Assist controller with ad-hoc year end tasks.

We Need Your Skills

University degree in Business Administration (accounting option) or equivalent experience

10+ years of relevant experience

Excellent knowledge of Excel and MS Office suite

Knowledge of SAP a strong asset

Bilingual (spoken and written) an asset.

Accurate and detail oriented

Organized with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
