We have the following open position at our location in Bromont, Quebec :



The Product Development Engineer is responsible for the design, development and improvement of new or existing products.

He / she is responsible for the customization of Duoject’s products to adapt them to specific client’s needs. He / she assists and contributes to design review meeting with clients and suppliers.

He / she assists the Engineering Manager and QA / RA Director in gathering data to comply with the standards during the design phases.

He / she also supports the activities required to ensure that Duoject products are fit for purpose (during both design and production phases) and meet both external and internal requirements.

  • Assumes responsibility for design, development, testing and documentation of products;
  • Ensures the development phases progress : general concept, detailed development, prototyping, testing and documentation;
  • Compiles all the documentation in electronic system database;
  • Assists QA / RA Director and Engineering Manager with product testing during Design Verification activities;
  • Assists VP Manufacturing in transfer to production;
  • Assures communication in regards to a given project to Duoject’s team as needed;
  • Contributes to Company’s documentation records;
  • Assists in tax credit report redaction as required;
  • Assists in Design History File (DHF) redaction as required;
  • Performs other duties when required or requested.
  • Qualifications

  • Engineering degree or equivalent;
  • Good understanding of design methods, manufacturing processes and medical device special requirements;
  • Knowledge of all related computer applications;
  • Understanding of R&D documentation and record keeping requirements;
  • Creative, innovative and manufacturing oriented;
  • Good communication and report writing skills;
  • Experience with lab work;
  • Ability to assist and support others;
  • Ability to communicate in English and in French;
  • Candidate criteria

    Minimum level of education required

    3- Bachelor

    Minimum level of experience required
