The Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering in the Gina Cody School of Engineering and Computer Science at Concordia University, Montreal, seeks an outstanding candidate for one tenure-
track position in the area of surface and thermal spray engineering at the rank of Assistant Professor but exceptional candidates at the Associate level may also be considered.
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in a relevant Engineering discipline. Successful candidates must have expertise in teaching materials and / or chemical engineering as well as expertise in theoretical and experimental research on innovative surface engineering techniques and coatings, including thermal spray coating technologies, and in their characterization and industrial application especially.
The ability to collaborate and establish interdisciplinary research partnerships is essential. The candidate will join the NSERC Strategic Network on Green Surface Engineering for Advanced Manufacturing (Green-
SEAM), a multi-million dollar initiative involving 11 universities, 27 professors, 10 industrial partners and 3 government laboratories.
The successful candidate will join a newly established Department and is expected to contribute to a vibrant and collaborative environment within and outside the department.
