  • As a member of our Infrastructure group, you will provide insight and innovative construction solutions to ensure the successful execution of various infrastructure projects, such as : roadways, highways and interchanges;
  • bridges and overpasses; water and wastewater treatment facilities; transmission lines; general / public transportation including airports, seaports and light rail transit lines (LRTs);
  • and conventional and alternative power generation like wind farms and district energy facilities. You will also further hone your skills operating under various delivery methods including Design-Build, P3 (Public-Private Partnership), Construction Management and IPD (Integrated Project Delivery).

    About The Role

    Reporting to the Project Director, the Scheduler will be responsible for preparing and updating project plans, schedules and provide planning support to the project teams as directed.

    This position is in the GTA.

    As a Planner at Graham you will :

  • Prepare, monitor and update project plans and schedules, and provide planning services to Graham project management teams
  • Develop overall project schedules for Infrastructure projects in the tender and execution stage with total project values up to $300m
  • Understand construction logic and incorporate into plans along with milestones and constraints
  • Understand the design process and procurement process as it relates to construction, and incorporate these processes into the project plan and schedule
  • Work with project team to develop and baseline the overall project plan and schedule
  • Establish project-specific requirements for project schedule reporting and assist in developing the process to satisfy the reporting / feedback requirements of the project management team and the client
  • Develop and issue short term look-ahead schedules
  • Produce and maintain linear schedules in TILOS
  • Integrate subcontractor and supplier schedules into the master project schedule and update on a regular basis
  • Develop cash flow and resource curves based on project estimates and the project schedule
  • Track and measure progress performance through the use of earned value management
  • Generate reports on long and short-term resource requirements for the project, interfacing with subcontractors to ensure proper planning, and to identify conflicts or problems and offer solutions
  • Analyze project performance against the critical path. Agree corrective actions with the project team where required to mitigate schedule slippage
  • Lead the tracking, reviewing and analysis of the schedule throughout all phases of the project to determine any deviations and any corrective actions required
  • To be Successful at Graham, you will have the following qualifications and experience :

  • 1 - 5 years of relevant experience as a Scheduler
  • Experience related to rail, roads, bridges or other infrastructure projects is considered an asset
  • Must be able to analyze the effect of schedule performance on project completion
  • Scheduling experience within General Contractor construction teams
  • Good understanding of cost / schedule integration and earned value management
  • Competency using Primavera P6, TILOS and MS Office Suite
