As a Talent Acquisition (TA) Manager with Method Vancouver, you’ll lead an energetic and passionate team to find the brightest and best to join our studio in both the VFX and Games sector.

You don’t shy away from new challenges and are able to strategize and work on big picture ideas while also juggling many day-to-day responsibilities.

Method Vancouver’s TA Manager is an integral part of growing our studio and leading the charge by attracting the best and brightest.

In this role, you will :

  • Partner with the hiring managers to clearly define the hiring requirements and to strategize on recruitment methods;
  • Use out-of-box sourcing strategies to ensure consistent access to pool of talents;
  • Continue to establish and maintain an effective campus recruitment program;
  • Foster solid relationships with candidates, industry colleagues, and past employees;
  • Manage the recruitment pipeline from screening, interviewing, negotiations, reference checks, and preparing appropriate documents;
  • Maintain applicant-tracking database;
  • Liaise with locally identified post-secondary education centers to facilitate the processing of practicum programs and curriculum discussions between them and our studio;
  • Keep up to date with immigration requirements to ensure international candidates qualify for entry to Canada;
  • Strategize with Marketing to implement recruitment social media initiatives;
  • Work closely with Human Resources and Operations to continuously improve candidate experience and employee retainment;
  • Lead and mentor all TA team members, providing guidance and support.

    To be successful in this role, you must have :

    Excellent organizational, communication and project management skills

  • Previous leadership experience;
  • At least 3-4 years’ experience in high-tech or CG / VFX industry recruiting;
  • High energy with ability to easily build rapport;
  • Ability to be a proactive, out-of-box thinker;
  • Confidence in public speaking;
  • Ability to meet deadlines while handling a fluctuating high pressure / high volume workload;
  • Strong recruiting best practices regarding tracking, communication, follow ups, negotiations, and hiring.

    It would also be helpful if you had :

  • Strong contacts within the VFX / CG Industry;
  • Familiarity with the current employment legislation and immigration laws.
