McMillen Jacobs Associates has an immediate need for a Senior Associate or Principal Consultant in its Chicago and Vancouver BC offices.

Responsibilities Our Claims Practice Group seeks to expand through the addition of senior-level professionals. The listed positions require professionals with significant construction consulting expertise with a proven ability to generate business, manage projects and lead project teams to deliver quality service to our clients.

Candidates must demonstrate the following strengths : Excellent business development and client service experience Track record of successful sales pursuits Market awareness Track record of building, managing and maintaining client relationships Leadership Applicant Communication Policy Provide direct leadership by setting, communicating and modeling high standards of performance and professionalism, developing and maintaining a high level of personal credibility and work ethic management with staff and demonstrating consistent sound judgment Applicant Information Use Policy Strong negotiation and facilitation skills with the ability to motivate, persuade and build consensus Identification, selection, development and training of top talent in support roles to promote the growth of McMillen Jaocbs Claims Practice Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in engineering or construction Minimum fifteen (15 -

20) years of experience in the construction industry, plus Experience in consulting in dispute resolution Track record of successful business origination and project delivery to clients and attorneys within the construction industry Professional and / or Industry Certifications (e.

g. PE, AIA, AACE certifications) Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Prior Expert Witness Testimony experience Proficiency with standard construction industry software tools (e.

g. Primavera, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office) Knowledge of Contracts, Claim Procedures, and current trends in the analysis of CPM schedules Strong conceptual and analytical skills Flexibility and responsiveness in managing multiple projects Plan, direct, and coordinate work activities of others
