Job Overview
This position is responsible for providing administrative and office support services to the CFS Representative(s). In addition, this position is responsible for maintaining files, processing bill payments, preparing a variety of activity reports, and other related duties.
This is a full-time position that will require 37.5 hours a week.
Duties and Responsibilities
Setting appointments, preparing for interviews, handling complaints and concerns, following up on referrals, providing information on CFS to members and the public, inputting financial plan information, formatting proposals and processing product applications
Creating and maintaining member files.
Processing bill payments and preparing a variety of activity reports for credit union management, CFS Representative(s), and Regional Office(s) as required.
Processing all CFS mail and handling all courier and fax support.
Assisting in building the relationship with credit union management and staff.
Assisting Credit Union management in tracking CFS employee attendance, if required
Performing other related duties as required.
Requirements
High school graduate supplemented with post-secondary education in an office careers program.
Minimum two years of experience as an assistant in an office environment dealing with internal and external contacts.
Completion of the IFIC course (Investment Funds Institute of Canada), Life Licensing course, or the CSC course (Canadian Securities Course), is a definite asset.
General investment and insurance industry knowledge and awareness of the Canadian Credit Union System are highly desirable.
Demonstrated skills include : excellent telephone and organizational skills, excellent typing and grammar skills combined with strong interpersonal and verbal communications skills.
Experience with working with all major types of office equipment.
Familiar with personal computers and a full range of knowledge of Microsoft Office products (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
