Generally applying the principles and practices of system engineering and project management to all work assignments.
Ensuring compliance to all customer and other stakeholder requirements.
Supporting engineering technical reviews and audits.
Plan and conduct regular engineering team meetings and present technical and schedule progress. Identify issues and risks.
Assigning action items and risk / issue mitigation activities and track to closure.
Supporting all internal management reviews and audits.
Supporting all customer technical and management reviews and audits.
Supporting the development and execution of subcontracted services and products.
Supporting the development and improvement of company policies, processes and work instructions.
Being familiar with and ensuring all workplace conduct is in accordance with Company's Human Resource, Safety and Security policies and procedures and fulfill the requirements of the company’s employment equity program.
Performing various tasks related to the development and in-service phases of avionics systems.
Participating in or lead conceptual definition, launch preparation, preliminary definition, detail definition, product release, product certification and entry into service.
Providing original and modified avionic and electrical designs for existing systems in aircraft and / or designs for new installations.
Preparing or review technical requirements documents, system / ground / flight test procedures and reports, certification reports.
Ensuring modifications are certifiable by Transport Canada and FAA.
Integrating the development activity of avionics systems with internal and external groups as well as participating in meetings and reviews with certification authorities.
Supporting of flight testing including witnessing of tests may be required.
Supporting other departments such as planning, production, procurement.
Performing as a DE for TCA or be willing to be mentored and developed into becoming a DE.
Performing other duties as required.

Bachelor of Science in Electrical / Avionics Engineering
15+ years' experience in avionics / electrical engineering, or
8+ years relevant experience in avionics engineering design, development, integration, and certification of systems including flight management systems (FMS), autopilot, communication, navigation, surveillance, indicating and recording systems.
Experience in Project Management, preferred.
Experience with product certification, preferred.
