Position Summary

The Alliance Director is responsible for providing driving sales results through partners, channels, consultants and agents.

He / she is responsible and accountable for capturing new business and maintaining current business. The Alliance Director is accountable for the coordination of activities to ensure that quotas are achieved by the channel.

This includes selection, recommendation, coaching and removing Alliance partners.

Education

  • Certificate or diploma in business administration or sales / marketing with an equivalent level of experience and training.
  • Work Experience

  • 10 years experience in a sales environment dealing with VARs, Distributors, Agents and IT Consultants.
  • Telecommunications industry knowledge and experience.
  • Minimum of 3 5 years of supervisory experience.
  • Key requirements of the Role

  • Proven ability to build and operate Strategic Partners Programs, close strategic relationships, Operationalize Strategic Relationships into outcome producing programs, learn customer’s products and services to speak and position program.
  • Strong ability to understand confidential strategies of CP1, convert those strategies into Alliance strategies, Involve executives and stakeholders in decision making to elevate the relationship.
  • Capable to sell Futures and Visions without committing beyond what’s real.
  • Ability to spot new market opportunities and potentials, Work closely with the teams in place to develop new opportunities.
  • Key Responsibilities

  • Own the Strategic Alliances program
  • Recruit develop relationships and manage business relationships with Alliance members, partners, distributors.
  • Maintain primary business relationship with approved alliance suppliers and distributors.
  • Liaise with all stakeholders to facilitate alliance access to available internal and external support processes and sales materials.
  • Responsible for managing, coaching, recruiting, setting targets, removing alliance partners.
  • Manage channel participation in customer-facing events, seminars, and sessions.
  • Owns all accountabilities for achieving sales targets for Alliance
  • Forecasting results by the alliance partner. Making monthly and quarterly calls with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Work closely with the Marketing Team to ensure Alliance program has the necessary tools / collateral to be successful.
  • Process renewals for alliance partners
  • Process all MACD for alliance partners
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Specific Competencies

  • In-depth knowledge of the sales and marketing processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills within a culturally diverse multi-location work environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to compile and prepare data into logical reports, briefings, and recommendations for internal and external use.
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong knowledge of the technology environment, especially Data Centres, Colocation and Cloud.
  • Experienced in effectively coordinating and planning multiple projects, executing multiple tasks simultaneously and efficiently while working with conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to influence business issues through a sound knowledge of sales processes with consultative skills to interact with all levels internally and externally
  • Proven planning skills with the ability to think outside the box and see the big picture impact of decisions / actions.
  • Exercises judgment and uses discretion with highly confidential materials.
  • Demonstrated relationship management skills coupled with a high level of professionalism.
  • Team player with solid interpersonal skills combined with a winning customer service attitude.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities
