Position Overview :

The Development Coordinator reports to the Vice President providing administrative and research support to the Development Management Team.

The Development Coordinator will assist in preparing land development reports, correspondence and drawings submissions to local municipalities involving architecture, landscape and civil engineering design.

The Development Coordinator will be responsible for enhancing the Development Team’s effectiveness by providing seamless support and representing them professionally to others.

A successful candidate will be an avid team player who thrives in a fast-paced work environment and enjoys working on multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Review of neighborhood plan requirements as they apply to a prepared and active development application as well as research related to the application
  • Assisting in the preparation of report
  • Letter and report writing
  • Land use and density analysis
  • Assist in maintaining schedules and budget preparation on a weekly basis
  • Maintain and update data in shared drive drawings, surveys, reports, municipal correspondence
  • Correspondence with municipal staff and land development consulting teams
  • Data entry, including meeting minutes
  • Additional duties as required
  • Skills Required :

  • 3-5 years of experience in land development / urban planning
  • Post-secondary education (required)
  • Intermediate level knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite (O365)
  • Intermediate level knowledge of MS Project
  • Strong Excel skills preferred
  • Superb attention to detail with strong organization and planning
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proven ability to adjust style for various audiences
  • Driving Responsibilities :

    This role requires frequent short distance driving within the lower mainland. Must have own reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.


    Diploma or degree in planning, urban land economics, architecture or equivalent experience.
