Reporting to the Managing director, Infrastructure Debt, within the Credit portfolio, the incumbent contributes to achieving the team’s business objectives by creating and maintaining relationships with stakeholders related to alternative investment strategies.
The Infrastructure Debt group oversees the financing of our major infrastructure projects on a global scale including, for example, motorways, renewable projects, social as well as telecommunications infrastructure, etc.
Transactional expertise in private equity, infrastructure or investment banking will be a priority in this position. Thanks to his / her business development expertise, he / she carries out quality transactions based on the criteria of returns / risk, by increasing the returns of the investment portfolio under his / her responsibility and encouraging collaboration as well as team work.
Develop business opportunities thanks to a good network of contacts and adopt innovative and proactive approaches.Coordinate, structure and execute the transactions, its negotiations, its implementations as well as it s continuations.
Perform fundamental research and analysis of it s files, on the quality of the business models and their capacity to create value as well as the risk the file is facing.
Prepare and recommend files to the various investment and risk management committees.Create the required documentation on the files and portfolio (Tracking sheets, financial and evaluation models, internal risk ratings, sector presentations, etc)Monitor the evolution of the financial results of the portfolio filesWork on a cross-functional basis with other teams at la Caisse (Infrastructure, Private Equity, Stock Markets, Risk, Legal, etc)Carry out all other related tasks requested by the immediate superior.
Minimum fifteen (15) years' experience in the credit or equity infrastructure field. The candidate must demonstrate a list of concrete infrastructure transactionsGraduate degree and the CPA, CA or CFA designation are an assetAn equivalent combination of education and experience may be taken into considerationExperience in negotiating and structuring private investment filesPossess a solid network of contacts in the business world as well as financial intermediariesExperience with the full transaction cycle : identification, prospecting, evaluation, transaction, and investment managementExtensive knowledge in risk managementAdvance English and French skills both oral and written
