Your route

Reporting to the Operation Manager, you will be responsible of the Standardized Operating Procedures (SOP) and IT systems related to all aspects of the Distribution Centre’s operations You will have to identify and correct system related anomalies and work with the IT department to have them resolved.

More specifically, the Warehouse Process and Systems Specialist will have to :

  • Be present for each shift start up to ensure all team members are able to electronically sign in
  • Manage new equipment installation (scanner guns, printers, PC’s)
  • Submit and manage a new team members information for access to programs WM and CAP
  • Support new team members in RED Carpet training on the UAP Portal
  • Log and maintain all electronic equipment for distribution and repair
  • Lead and deliver training on UAP programs (WM, AS400, Web OE , SCI Cognos, CAP )
  • Able to multitask throughout each day
  • Be available to assist the order desk and management team on searching for missing ordered items and indicate findings
  • Perform daily CAP system maintenance of team members previous days performance
  • Post a Daily Lines Per Hour Report for all Team members to review
  • Create, coordinate, and monitor continuous improvement to work processes and programs
  • Be the direct contact for various support teams ( DC Support, PC Support )
  • Be able to use Word and Excel programs
  • Investigate and process submitted Overages and Shortages as well as damage claims from stores
  • Facilitate and record results from bimonthly Loss Prevention Meetings on the DC floor
  • Complete and electronically enter quarterly UAP Self Audits for Safety / Loss Prevention.
  • Under the hood

  • Specialised in Operation Management (GOP) combined with 1 to 3 years’ experience / or 8 to 10 years’ experience in a DC.
  • Knowledge of MS-Office.
  • Comfortable working in a computerized environment; Knowledge of inventory management and knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) environment (asset).
  • Oriented towards results and customers;
  • Creativity, autonomy and the ability to inform and adapt as well as show tact and diplomacy;
  • Problem solving skills;
  • Perseverance;
  • Good interpersonal communication skills.
