Tech-Savvy Sales Manager
Location : Vancouver
To help drive ActiveState’s next stage of growth of sales of our SaaS platform, we are seeking a sales manager to guide a team of Enterprise and Mid-Market account executives focused on net new growth.
This position can be based out of our headquarters in beautiful Vancouver, BC (working remotely during the current health situation), or from home anywhere in North America.

About the Position
We’re looking for a tech-savvy, process-driven individual with a growth mindset, and an understanding of complex selling in large enterprises.
You’ll be instrumental in managing, mentoring, and growing the team that drives the growth of our business through net new customers.
You will guide the sales team by strategizing on deals, coaching on sales tactics and refining sales processes.
You are a Swiss-army knife. One part deal-maker and sales strategist, another part process and data savvy, and you can also pick up the phone and help close deals.
You are highly-competitive and intrinsically motivated to achieve. You love to manage a team of hunters who are in charge of acquiring new customers.
Grow, develop, motivate, and manage the account executive team to beat individual quotas and company goals for net new business and customer acquisition
Build data-driven insights to identify opportunities and support sales decisions
Partner with the VP of Sales to develop and drive a sales process and methodology that will lead to sales funnel consistency and predictability
Provide coaching to the sales team to maximize win rates and AE professional development
Collaborate with other teams including BDRs, Account Managers, marketing and product management to advocate for solutions that overcome objections
2+ years of proven sales leadership experience in a SaaS / software environment
5+ years hands-on sales experience in closing new deals with large enterprises
Technical aptitude demonstrated by selling successfully to IT, Dev / Engineering, or Security within large enterprises
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
Bachelor’s degree, college diploma in sales / marketing or other field of study or equivalent experience
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, especially with technical and business topics
Detail-oriented, highly analytical, used to optimize sales strategies and processes
Experience building, mentoring and coaching teams to achieve personal and sales goals
Strong drive, competitive spirit, business acumen, and confidence
Ability to lead and communicate cross-functionally with other departments such as BDRs, Product Management, Customer Success and Marketing
Experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce
