As the fastest growing media agency in Canada, we are looking for an exceptional Financial Operations Manager who can provide effective day-
to-day financial administrative and client service. The ideal candidate will support members of the agency team and act as an internal liaison between the Planning and Investment team members.

In this role you will work on Canada’s largest media account, providing supportive guidance and consultancy in the multi-
facet areas of client finance.
Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, the Financial Operations Manager will assume a broad range of accounting and financial duties to ensure deliverables are being met and processes are properly implemented.
In this role, the Financial Operations Manager will seek broad involvement to expand his / her knowledge base and experience in preparation for additional responsibility.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure the team is organized and deliverables are met in terms of billing, budgeting, accruals, reconciliations, forecasting etc.
Assist in solving / clearing billing discrepancies / queries in a timely manner
Support the team with preparing and maintaining accurate and timely billing and budget control reporting
Assist with accruals ensuring that all back up is proper and entries are justified
Lead teams in successful execution of full cycle accounting calendars (Monthly, Quarterly and Year-End procedures) on a timely basis, setting clear directions, resolving obstacles and ensuring a high-
quality review process including; analytical review and variance analysis, internal and external financial reporting
Manage the account, client finance forecast process and be responsible for coordinating and resolving all forecast related issues.
You will work closely with key stakeholders including, but not limited to, Account Management, Media Operations and Corporate Accounting to ensure alignment with objectives / goals
Prepare ad-hoc reports for internal and external client (s)
Assist with internal audits

Build and maintain trusting, collaborative relationships with clients at appropriate levels
Manage day-to-day expectations of clients and deliverables under extremely tight timelines
Work collaboratively with other team members in a full-service environment
Strategic Thinking :
Demonstrate problem solving and intervention when necessary
Understand and analyze the root causes of problems and develop ways to rectify
EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED :
5+ years in client finance (or similar) in the Advertising and / or Media industry preferred
Finance background is required
Strong proficiency with Excel
Ability to work independently and meet reporting timelines
Ability to perform work with a high level of accuracy
Attention to detail and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously
Excellent communication skills
