Program Coordinator, Reman
Reporting to the Program Manager, Reman the Program Coordinator is responsible for working with the Reman branch and internal customers to ensure that the established rebuild programs meet customer’s needs.
This position will help the Reman team to set strategy and prioritize resources as it relates to the needs of our customers.
This position will work with Reman management to investigate, prioritize, and resolve concerns / requests from the various SMS branches and / or external customers.
New Product Line Evaluation
Develop an evaluation criterion for potential product lines to add to Reman’s book of business.
Assess market potential for complimentary product offerings.
Assess existing product coverage and rationalize the SMS Reman book of business.
Alternative Marketing Programs
Support the branches on alternative marketing program request from a retail perspective.
Voice of Customer
Develop and implement quarterly branch meetings to obtain voice of customer and market intelligence.
Create marketing materials : Product offering guide, customer brochures, facility information sheets, Reman value proposition.
Develop a customer service survey.
Act as the customer facing representation for the Reman business, and internally coordinate the appropriate resources to support the external requests.
In coordinator with the Branches, create a lost sales reporting process to gather and review information related to Program competitiveness.
New Product Introduction
Build and maintain the strategy related to the NPI process for newly introduced equipment in our territory that falls into our desired book of business.
Monitor market size and branch support strategies.
Forecast and update support plans.
Coordinate branch led exchange inventory transition to the established reman programs when appropriate.
Retail Pricing Review
In coordination with the Rebuild Programs Manager, participate in the annual price review.
Work with key stakeholders (Branch, Corporate, and Reman), utilizing market intelligence to evaluate retail pricing for rebuild programs
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Minimum 3-5 + years’ experience in a relevant role is preferred (within a heavy equipment dealership environment).
Possesses excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
Be an effective listener and have the ability to converse with a diverse set of personality types.
Be an effective facilitator with the ability to engage people when exploring opportunities or delivering key messages.
Be a self starter with the ability to multi-task.
Must possess general knowledge of the Komatsu product line which SMS Equipment Inc. currently sells and services.
Post Secondary Degree / Diploma in Business is preferable. Equivalent experience or education will be considered.
Marketing experience is not required but would be considered an asset.
