An integral part of the Product and Merchandising Leadership team (dotted line reporting to SVP GMM) and reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, the Director of Global Pricing Strategy will be responsible for identifying and engaging cross functional leaders on global pricing opportunities and enabling implementation.
Lead the annual process of reviewing and updating global pricing strategies with the steering committee
Bring data and analytics to support pricing decisions; proactively recommend opportunities
Support the Global Design team, Global Merchants and Regional Merchants in setting prices - tightly integrated with merchant teams
Conduct and analyze consumer insight research to identify pricing opportunities and consumer willingness to pay
Provide annual and quarterly patterning (current and historical pricing, trends over time) to enable the merchandising team to price and to maintain global price levels
Required Skills & Experience
Post graduate business degree
2 - 4 years + of experience leading, or establishing a pricing discipline, within a global iconic brand or multi-unit retail company
Global experience, preferably gained in a premium apparel environment
Deep analytical skills
Understanding of the apparel industry and familiarity with material, functionality, etc.
Experience with conducting and analyzing consumer insights
Expertise in understanding and executing research, including methodology selection, research design, setting sample sizes and statistical controls.
Ability to generate and translate insights into actionable recommendations and strategic choices.
Understanding of the business and how all the pieces fit together to create our unique business model
Communicates openly and authentically so that others can hear and take action
