We are adding a Rail Systems Requirements Manager to our growing Rail / Transit organization. This is a high performing group of experts in the design / delivery of Rail / Transit projects.
The goal of the KIE design-build management group is to employ experienced rail systems professionals to develop standards, lead engineering teams, offer training and provide support to the districts and projects on design-build work so that a successful outcome in regard to scheduling and financial performance can be achieved.
In this role, you will lead successful systems integration / systems engineering requirements activities, and coordinate with other engineers at peer and junior to mid / senior level.
The position is expected to operate with minimum supervision, will be integrated into a team of engineers or the third-party engineering contractors, and to set the stage and manage all requirements activities from the bid phase through delivery of the project.

This position can be based remotely in Canada or at one of our Kiewit offices, and will require travel as needed 25% of the time.
Serve as the Rail Systems Requirements Manager in the conceptual, preliminary, and final design for complex rail transit projects.
Responsibilities include :
Understanding of construction means and methods, that includes familiarity with rail transit industry standards, practices, and regulations is required.
Experience in design and / or construction management of rail transit systems is preferred.
Rail & Transit system design, construction, testing and commissioning Understanding and experience in Requirements Management Principles and processes applied in Rail / Transit Design and construction Demonstrable understanding of the Configuration and Change Management Principles Knowledgeable in railway standards such as AREMA, MIL-STD, IEEE and EN Demonstrable knowledge, understanding and use in HELIX ALM, DOORS or similar Requirement Management Tools Engineering Concepts, including Design, Verification & Validation, and System Basic to intermediate understanding of other subsystems such as communications, supervisory control / SCADA, traction power, tunnel ventilation, on-board, and auxiliary electrical systems
