CGC Inc. is currently recruiting for an Architectural Sales Associate to support our Architectural Sales Team.

POSITION SUMMARY

The ideal candidate collaborates with Architectural Sales Representatives to strategically generate leads and manage sales activities for assigned architectural firms.

The position applies extensive product, technical, and application expertise to promote CGC ceiling products.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborates with assigned Architectural Sales Representatives (ASR) to manage key projects by supporting the coordination of specification efforts and documentations and taking ownership of smaller architect and design firms
  • Supports the external ASR in maximizing CGC's short- and long-term growth in sales volume, gross profit and industry position, with a particular focus on the ceilings and gypsum business
  • For assigned firms, develops relationships with architects, interior designers, spec writers, owners, construction managers and general contractors to increase preference and demand for CGC products and systems
  • Promotes CGC products and solutions by strategically organizing marketing efforts and identifying opportunities to increase CGC’s presence within the industry
  • Coordinates strategic Lunch & Learns and completes follow-up tasks including CEU submissions for credits
  • Coordinates samples and collateral needs for some priority projects
  • Creates Architect Packets for full line ASR whenever a firm becomes a focus firm including :
  • Activities
  • USG Specifications written
  • Competitive Specifications written
  • Creates heat map of firm receptiveness to CGC products
  • Collects data on the following :
  • Won / Lost rate
  • Architects specifying USG products
  • Local teams’ response rate to requests
  • Creates targeted job lists for ASRs by discipline (ACT, Ensemble, CP, Panels) from CRM
  • Establishes a favorability rating among architects
  • QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Architecture, Design, Marketing or related field
  • Strong leadership, communication (verbal and written), decision making skills
  • Must have demonstrated abilities to read and interoperate architectural drawings and specifications from architects and designers
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Understands the principals of construction documentation
  • Self-starter with very strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge in building science and building codes would be an added asset
  • Experience with Salesforce and job tracking processes would be an added asset
  • Bilingualism in English / French is an asset
