Job Description

Reporting to the Temporary Facilities Lead, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following :

  • Plays an active role in the development of the safety culture on the project, making safety a natural part of all work performed.
  • Develops, manages and implements detailed plans for site temporary facility installation, use, allocation and removal.
  • Creates scopes of work, sketches and execution plans for any facility modifications or other small scale projects
  • Develop design concepts and space standards as required
  • Develops schedules and monitors contractor activities for facility installation, furniture installation, moves and changes
  • Develops schedules and monitors contractor activities for other Site Services such as Janitorial, Propane, Potable and Septic Service, among others.
  • Ensures project priorities for safety, cost, quality and schedule are accurately conveyed to the Site Services Management Team
  • Support the Site Wide Service department with all scopes of work as needed
  • Provides backshift support to Temporary Facilities Lead and Facilities Maintenance Coordinator, overseeing work in the field
  • Coordinates labour, materials and other resources to carry out construction activities in accordance with plans and specifications
  • Schedule and allocate required work to contractors to meet priorities
  • Coordinates with other site construction groups and manages any interface issues to support work as required
  • Ensures project priorities for safety, cost, quality and schedule are accurately conveyed to the Site Services Management Team
  • Reports Daily activities, reviews and approves contractor daily reports and LEMS
  • Manages site laydown and land use process, reviewing land use requests for conflicts with existing land use agreements, finding alternate solutions if required, issuing land use permits and interfacing with JFJV Geomatics to ensure real-time information is available on land allocation in the JFJV GIS system
  • Other duties as required

    Must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located.

    Basic Job Requirements

  • FMP certification and / or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5 years of practical experience with project planning
  • Proficient with project scheduling software such as Microsoft Project
  • Experience with construction, technical, and engineering activities on large scale projects.
  • Highly organized with the ability to plan and prioritize many projects simultaneously
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent computer literacy and skills in MS Office Suite required.
  • Knowledge of the concepts, methods, standards and practices of the construction industry.
