Job Level

NV-09The Agency Field Specialist provides technology training and systems support to Agents and their Team Members. In addition, they will act as an advisor to strategically deliver effective tools and sustainable processes that will assist Agents and Team Members meet their production targets in both Property and Casualty and Financial Services.

Additional responsibilities

  • Deliver technology and system training and ongoing support to Agents and their Team Members as a Subject Matter Expert.
  • Analyze and develop strategies with respect to acquisition, retention and business management processes to help Agents achieve their growth goals.
  • Analyze and develop solutions relating to Agent and Team Member questions about sales systems, technologies and processes.
  • Share Agent best practices and field intelligence with the Agency network and with other Agency Field Specialists to maximize AFS impact.
  • Track Agents' level of change adoption to new technologies and processes. Collaborate with Technology AFS to develop strategies to help Agents embrace and adopt the changes.
  • Provide various types of support to new Agents and for office closures.
  • Other working conditions

  • Travel : Travel is required throughout Alberta. Visits to Aurora, Ontario as needed.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • As part of the employment process, internal applicants will complete applicable testing and background check (MVR, Credit and Criminal) for position.

  • Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree or CIP designation is preferred

  • 3-5 years of experience facilitating group and individual training in a marketing or sales environment is a strong asset
  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

  • P&C (OTL), Life (LLQP) and Mutual Funds licensing may need to be completed within first year of employment.
  • For vacant positions available in Quebec, please note that knowledge of French is required
  • Specific knowledge

  • Insurance / product knowledge is an asset.
  • Technical knowledge with Microsoft Office, Outlook and social media savvy.
  • Technical knowledge of Agent office systems, tools and processes is preferred.
