Reporting to the General Manager, the Estimating Support / Expeditor is accountable for project estimating and pricing support, expedition of materials, and supporting all projects in other areas as required.
This position is based in the Sudbury, ON office.

Operational / Estimating Support
Assist Estimators and business units by providing pricing for projects.
Identify suppliers to issue enquiry packages to in order to ensure competitive pricing by use of historical and other benchmarking data.
Maintain general tender filing system.
Provide concise and accurate administration / preparation of requisitions and / or other required documents involved with the procurement process including coordination between Project Management and Supply Chain Management to determine project supply requirements and delivery logistics and timelines.
Monitor / control purchasing activities.
Keep up-to-date with new supply sources.
Assist in the implementation and management of strategic purchasing initiatives.
Ensure orders are meeting specified deadlines and paperwork from vendors is complete and correct.
Investigate and resolves inventory discrepancies.
Evaluate and advise Management of any serious ongoing issues with vendors.

Undergraduate degree or diploma in supply chain management
3 years’ related experience in a similar role
Thorough understanding and knowledge of procurement process
Ability to forge, grow and maintain positive relationships
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictable activities; capable of handling pressure and challenges in a dynamic business environment
Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them
Strong analytical, critical thinking, troubleshooting, problem-solving skills
Strong math skills and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Highly developed interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
