Press Operator will is responsible for the following : Job Responsibilities Coordinate and supervise production department activities such as;
production planning, product manufacturing and quality standard applicationOptimize production planning, systems, and work methods while never maintaining health & safety, deadlines, costs, and qualityComplete daily reports such as OEE, transition sheet, set-up QC and high-speed QCEnsure proper allocation for department coverage and coordinate break scheduleManage and train employees to ensure transfer of knowledgeResponsible for running the press at expected production rates, conducting setups and complex troubleshootingEnsure quality procedures are being followed and the product meets quality expectationsReporting issues and assisting in near miss or accident investigationCommunicate expectations and problem-solve during shift changes;
interact with other departments to maximize efficiencyRespects and follows Cascades Flexible Packaging safety rules; maintains a clean, safe and organized work environmentAny other duties requested by your supervisor.
Qualifications An ideal Sr. Press Operator will have : Experience with Large Flexo PressExperience in Plastic or Packaging industry is an assetTo be able to colour match;
colour-blind test requiredAt least 3+ years’ operating experience preferred
