The Department of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Prince Edward Island has an opening for a Sessional Instructor during the forthcoming Fall 2016 Semester.

This appointment is subject to final budgetary approval.

Course : VBS 121 Mammalian Physiology

The Department of Biomedical Sciences is seeking a sessional instructor to assist in delivery of Mammalian Physiology (VBS 121) to first-

year veterinary students. Responsibilities for this position include presentation of weekly lectures (20) in cardiovascular, respiratory, acid-

base balance and excitable cell physiology and assisting with other aspects of course administration (midterm).

Remuneration will be as specified in the Faculty Association Collective Agreement.

Qualifications :

  • A DVM and / or graduate degree (MSc or higher, in physiology or a related field).
  • Preference will be given to those with teaching experience in physiology, but those with evidence of effective teaching in related fields will also be considered.
  • Priority will be given to members of the UPEI Sessional Roster for the Department of Biomedical Sciences.
