Function
Responsible for packaging and warehouse operations
Responsible for training of subordinates, safety and regulatory requirements within areas of responsibility
Responsible for directing and supporting packaging, bulk receiving and warehouse staff
Service to internal customers (Product groups, trucking, branch outlets), including general inventory storage, plant security, rail / yard operations and tool and equipment control
Manage Inventory (inbound) for select customers
Site Operations Management
Support the development and implement of production, bulk receiving & shipping procedures and processes
Daily management of Putnam packaging and warehouse operations re : organizing product flow both in / out of terminal
Supporting the team for hands on support as required
Support Operations Manager with hiring, dismissing or discipline of employees reporting to this position
Inform / Report repairs and maintenance as required within the guidelines set out by the Company operating budget
Daily Shift Reports Updating Admin and Associates
Establish goals and standards of performance of each subordinate
Direct the movement of inventory / product between facilities as required by capacity constraints, inventory levels and / or customer requirements
Ensure professional service of contracts
Monitors inventory control system Support cycle counts as requested and annual year end count
Approve hours and schedule time off within our Payworks system
Manage a portion of the railcars inbound and realising system / structure
Financial Responsibility
Communicate required purchases, confirm packing slips for purchased consumables
Monitor and communicate expected run rates with your subordinates, encouraging the importance of achieving the expected run rates

Become knowledgeable about all Sylvite divisions and the products and services they provide to customers
Documentation of all processes and tasks for which a function is responsible

Education, Experience and / or Training Requirements
3+ years in Management Position
2+ years in Agriculture or related industry
Knowledge in all Office Software, particularly Excel
