PTAG is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager for a pipeline project. The pipeline project consists of approximately 39km of new build construction in challenging mountainous terrain, the incumbent must have grade rock experience .
Location : Kamloops, BC
Type of Employment : Contract
Direct and supervise a team of project construction engineers and inspectors
Ensure that overall project construction quality and safety is achieved while maintaining project schedule and budget
Manage the construction contractor’s and provide direction to construction team / subordinates
Provide constructability and safety input into the engineering and design
Ensure contractor’s adherence to the engineering standards and resolution of design issues in the EPCM stage
Manage the construction during EPCM in a manner that safely achieves a quality installation that meets performance parameters set out in the Statement of Requirements within the cost and schedule targets
Ensure that all actions, works and services undertaken by the EPCM contractors are in accordance with respective agreements
Ensure compliance with Company objectives, requirements, priorities, policies, procedures, standards, rules, regulations and guidelines
Ensure the cost effective solutions in engineering design are adopted while maintaining quality, constructability, operability and maintainability
Ensure that the project is technically sound and optimally designed and engineered to appropriate standards and specifications
Monitor and audit the progress of work at site against the project schedule and report any delays and recommend actions to correct such delays
Make sure that all construction activities are executed as per the project specifications
Review and verify the construction progress reports
Have a full understanding of the Company HSE policies, procedures, regulations and objectives as they relate to their particular area of responsibility
Provide on-site construction consultation during construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning stages
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree from an accredited university with a minimum of 15 years of process plant and pipeline field construction experience
Experience working with Grade Rock
Demonstrated experience in management of pipeline construction
Must have familiarity with latest construction methods, modern project management techniques and environmental engineering aspects
Superior knowledge in co-ordinating contract packages, constructability review, site plan management and tracking construction progress
Ability to work effectively with peers in a multi-disciplinary environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
