Position Summary

We are currently recruiting for a Claims Examiner / Adjuster to join our team in Oakville, ON .

The successful candidate will investigate, evaluate, negotiate and settle commercial lines claims by telephone and correspondence.

The candidate will direct field adjusters on a task basis. The candidate will participate in ensuring accurate recording, reporting, and presentation of files.

The selected individual will be examining Commercial Property claim and the role will also entail some desktop adjustin.

The examiner would either conduct their own desktop investigation or task out field work to a separate independent adjuster as needed.


  • Comprehensive claims investigations / settling experience with 3+ years of experience working with commercial property claims
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Ability to work independently while assimilating various technical subjects.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather and analyze information, determine a course of action and implement the selected course of action.
  • Strong ability to identify, analyze and solve problems.
  • Effective interpersonal skills to be capable of dealing with external sources and all levels of employees.
