A New Opportunity :

Hull Services is adding an exciting new role to its Clinical Leadership Team. We are seeking a seasoned leader with applied clinical and administrative experience within Therapeutic Campus-Based Care (TCBC) and group care settings to provide strategic leadership and oversight to our TCBC, group and continuing care programs.

This is an opportunity to mentor new leaders, build a strong team, and play an instrumental role in supporting Hull Services to pursue its Vision, Mission and Strategic Goals, to embody its values and to continue to demonstrate leadership in the child, youth and family mental health sector.

The Position :

The Senior Director TCBC, Group and Continuing Care reports to the Executive Director and is a key member of Hull’s senior leadership teams.

This role requires close collaboration with other Senior Directors and with the Senior Operations Team. The Senior Director plays a key role in upholding Hull Services’ profile as a leading provider of child, youth and family mental health services.

The Senior Director supports the unified delivery and enhancement of Interdependent Living Services, Therapeutic Campus Based Care (TCBC) and related fee for service programs and Nights / Security.

This position provides oversight and direction to ensure all programs and services are integrated and tailored to help children, young adults, and families overcome challenges and build resilience.

The Senior Director maintains an Agency perspective and demonstrates effective collaboration with the board, management and all program levels for the purpose of decision making, problem solving and innovation.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Assist in the development and implementation of effective operational and strategic plans; providing expertise in TCBC, group and continuing care practices.
  • Lead TCBC, group care and continuing care teams and facilitate the effective operation of inclusive, meaningful and responsive programs and services;
  • help ensure teams are working collaboratively to meet service delivery goals and address challenges.

  • Support programs in becoming increasingly unified in philosophy, practice and measurement.
  • Provide overall clinical supervision for assigned programs and maintain the integrity of clinical practice at Hull Services.
  • Ensure programs and services are meeting accreditation standards, licensing requirements and expectations for continuous quality improvement.
  • Monitor program outcomes and ensure the Agency continues to be an innovative, best practice, evidence informed provider of mental health services for children, youth adults and families.
  • Assist in conducting research, identifying the needs of our persons served and opportunities for program enhancement.
  • Oversee contract management of assigned programs, ensuring timely reporting and contract renewals.
  • Work with Child and Family Services and other strategic partners to identify needs and strategies for Hull Services’ role in the advancement of TCBC, group care and continuing care services.
  • Develop and manage program budgets in consultation with funders and the Finance department.
  • Collaborate with Development & Communications, help identify funding sources and build strong relationships with funders and other community partners.
  • Work collaboratively with Human Resources to manage performance and address HR issues.
  • Supervise assigned Program Directors, conduct performance evaluations and assist in their growth as leaders; build on the knowledge and abilities of assigned teams;
  • ensure all staff are receiving regular supervision, training and support.

  • Promote a respectful and healthy workplace culture and help ensure overall safety and well-being of program staff.
  • Act as an effective member of identified internal and external committees consisting of diverse stakeholders.
  • Assume direct leadership and decision-making functions, as required, in the absence of the Executive Director.
  • Qualifications and Requirements :

  • Master's Degree from a recognized university combined with several years of clinical and senior management experience.
  • High professional and ethical standards, working in accordance with ethical codes adopted by the relevant profession and endorsed by the Agency.
  • A thorough understanding of the Agency's mission, philosophy, goals and management systems.
  • Experience in developing an inspiring vision for an organization, implementing operational and strategic plans, achieving staff support and influencing positive change.
  • Skilled at monitoring outcomes, conducting research and identifying opportunities for the advancement of programs and services.
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational development, problem solving and decision making skills, as well as cross cultural competence, including competence in the provision of Indigenous cultural services.
  • Excellent interpersonal qualities including flexibility, effective communication, positivity, and relationship building skills.
  • An ability to maintain effective, collaborative and professional working relations with all Agency programs and departments, as well as funders, community partners and stakeholders.
  • Discretion, tact and ability to maintain confidential information.
  • A strong work ethic, self-motivated and demonstrated ability to engage and develop others.
