As part of the Global IT Application Support and Operations, this role is responsible for the operation and support of applications integral to actuarial and core risk modelling functions.

Your job

  • Drafts & maintains procedures and documentation for applications support and manages application enhancements to improve business performance.
  • Supports the deployment & training of the application into production environment based on operational requirements.
  • Carries out agreed operational procedures, incl. application or network configuration, installation, integration, maintenance in IT Operation & as part of the lifecycle management.
  • Monitors service delivery performance metrics and identifies required service agreement adjustments with managers and customers.
  • Handles & investigates problems and incidents in applications and services (2nd level).
  • Performs and conducts defined tasks for service delivery against SLAs and maintains records of relevant information.
  • Performs all aspects of Moody’s Analytics AXIS (formerly GGY Axis) actuarial System Administration
  • Your profile

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology, computer science, engineering, or related field of study (or equivalent work experience).
  • Certifications in ITIL, and / or project management.
  • 3-5 years of professional background in application management and support
  • Understanding of SaaS solution, SAP solutions, Office tools, business support solutions, Guidewire, and standard software tools.
  • Experience managing a multi-tiered application infrastructure, and cloud-based applications.

  • Experience managing a multi-tiered application infrastructure, and Oracle cloud-based platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of application development methodologies, IT service management, and infrastructure components.
  • Understanding of private clouds (VMWARE) and storage fabrics (NetApp). Operational DBA experience with Microsoft SQL Server
  • Ability to function as a member of a team, willing to contribute in any capacity required to achieve success. Proven track record of taking ownership / accountability of a situation and leveraging the diverse support structure to achieve business results.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and tight deadlines.
