The applications scientist puts his advanced scientific knowledge and know-how to work on the solutions relative to continuous water analysis.
He is the expert in the applications of the products for measuring water pH, conductivity, and turbidity for the ABB Measurement and Analytics Business Unit.
He applies his expertise to applications of products, quality of manufacturing, support to marketing and sales, and development of new products.
Act in the quality of expert in the understanding of water chemistry and continuous water analysis solutions.
Provide scientific and technical support and knowledge of the markets in the applications of products for measuring pH, conductivity and turbidity for both potable water and industrial water.
Provide expert support to the Operations Department for product manufacturing and the achievement of the performance of the products for measuring pH and conductivity.
Provide expertise on the standards and methods in effect for the analysis of potable water and industrial effluents.
Work in close collaboration with the product manager, the sales team, and the technical support representatives to identify the right solutions for customers.
Provide support for sales and marketing activities such as participation in exhibitions and conferences as well as in the training of the sales force.
Contribute to the content destined to the development of marketing and communications material : applications notes, technical data sheets, brochures, etc.
Develop the teaching material required for the technical training of the customers, and give training sessions, on ABB premises or at the customer site.
Provide his expertise in projects to develop new products.

Experience and qualifications

Four years of experience in water chemistry.

Excellent command of English, spoken and written.
Mastery of statistical data.
Interest and aptitude for R&D.
Available for occasional travel.
Must be a member of the Professional Order attached to his profession, if applicable.
