Preparing for the implementation of our new hospital information system requires a dedicated team. We are pleased to share an exciting opportunity to support the implementation of OneTHP in the training department.

The Position :

The Credentialed Trainer is a highly motivated and engaged individual who will support the implementation of Epic by providing training and go-live support in the summer of 2020.

Here's what you will get to do :

The Credentialed Trainer will use the curriculum, lesson plans, and training materials created by the OneTHP Project team to conduct training for Managers, Super Users and the End Users of Epic and other related software systems.

The Credentialed Trainer may update training materials and classroom content in alignment with system or workflow changes.

The Credentialed Trainer will spend approximately 80% of their time teaching in a classroom setting or providing at-the-elbow support post go-live.

Teaching may be delivered in a variety of settings such as large or small group settings, one-on-one and huddles, etc.

Successful candidates will partake in a credentialed training program and at the completion of this, must pass a credentialed test with a minimum score of 85%.

The test will include presenting a lesson to a panel which could include Principal Trainers, Training Manager and a representative from Epic.

What you need :

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Adaptable to frequent and quick changes
  • Ability to build strong rapport and respect from peers
  • Familiar using computers and can easily learn new technology
  • Previous Epic implementation experience is preferred
  • Experience presenting material to a variety of audiences on technical topics is preferred
  • Adult education and classroom teaching experience highly desired
  • Passionate about health care and excited by the OneTHP project
  • Location :

  • From March 30, 2020 to July 24, 2020 the primary work location for the Credentialed Trainer will be at an offsite location in Mississauga.
  • This location is accessible via public transit

  • From July 25, 2020 to August 28, 2020 you must be able to attend work at any THP hospital sites (i.e. Mississauga Hospital, Credit Valley Hospital, Watline, RCC, Queensway Health Centre, etc.)
  • Hours of Work :

  • Scheduled work hours will be determined by the training schedule between June 1, 2020 and July 24, 2020. This may mean varied hours of work each day.
  • You must be available 7 days a week from 6am to midnight

  • From July 25, 2020 to August 28, 2020, you must be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
