The employee in this job class programs or modifies applications, using the appropriate
programming languages to meet the specific needs of users; it tests software and
programs and, if necessary, adapts them to ensure that they are compatible with existing systems and to ensure, to the extent
of their competence, that they meet the needs of users. She acts as a resource
for the most complex troubleshooting on the software level, particularly for installation and configuration, and, if necessary,
performs these installations and configurations.
She writes instructions for the use of software and applications and participates in the training of users.
She may be called upon to assist in the analysis, design and development of computer systems. She controls
the execution of computer work and the management of SQL database servers. She may be called upon to initiate
less experienced technicians as well as to coordinate the work of support staff in the tasks
performed by these staff in relation to carrying out technical operations programs including she is responsible.
Using appropriate software, she performs analyzes, extractions, specific operations and reports
allowing checks or to comply with the procedure laid down for subjects such as school enrollment management,
production of school reports and sanctions, funding, accounting, budget, student overruns, permanent student
codes, absences from school 'pupils, supply, school transport, chess and various other lists or
reports for transmission, in particular to the Ministry. She keeps student records up to date.
She provides training and provides the required support regarding school organization procedures and the use of various software
to those involved in these operations; if necessary, she uses a word processor and the Internet. She can be
called upon to respond to requests for information from other school workers, the board or parents. If necessary, she performs any other related task.
