As IT Technician on a Big Top touring show, you will be required to support the show's employees with incidents, requests and IT requirements, and act as the technical reference with regards to all Cirque computer systems.
More specifically, as IT expert, you will : - Assemble computer equipment and network connections during the show’s set-
up (and disassemble during tear-down);- Perform the wiring required;- Manage orders and installations of telecommunication links (including cancellations of service);
Diagnoses and solves all problems (hardware and software) related to the technological environment of the tour;- Install hardware, config and software following established procedures;
Perform technical support for Point of Sale and ticketing;- Manage the network and its components (wired and wireless);
Manage the phone system (account user,access and use);- Manage and execute the daily backup system;- In the event of more significant problems,acts as liaison with teams centralized in Montreal;
Perform support and basic training of users;- Manage access profiles of the supported users by established norms;- Perform basic software support for all users of the tour;
Coordinate service and equipment requests for the tour;- Maintain inventory of computer equipment of the tour;- Perform basic cellular telephony support;
Ensure compliance with corporate policies in respect to the technologies of the information;- Be available support of 24x7 for major incidents.
We would like to meet you if you have : - College-level diploma in IT or a related field;- Minimum five years’ relevant experience, preferably in a touring environment;
Excellent proficiency using Microsoft Windows XP and 7, Microsoft Office 2007 and 2010, and Symantec Antivirus;- Knowledge of a server environment and management of its components (routers, access points, switches, VLAN, VPN, DHCP and DNS);
Customer service focus;- Good communication skills;- Flexibility, self-reliance and good team spirit;- Ability to quickly adapt to unexpected situations, variable schedules and tight deadlines;
Fluency in English, spoken and written, essential; fluency in French an asset;- Availability to tour full time and work in foreign countries.
