This position resides within the Manufacturing Operations team and will report to the Manager, Manufacturing Operations.
Key Accountabilities :
Build and test electronic assemblies
Setup for device testing
In-line quality checks for all assemblies
Highlight daily production issues to team lead as they arise
Following work instructions to ensure units are built to the highest quality standards
Responsible for identifying when a process is deviating from the norm and take action to correct it
Suggest changes to improve current processes
Apply lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste in the production process, strictly following health and safety procedures and protocols
Enter assembly build and quality check information into the ERP system (NetSuite)
Packing and labeling of finished goods
Familiar with using personal protective equipment (glasses, gloves, etc)
Key Skills & Knowledge
3-5 years experience testing electronic devices and in Quality Control is considered an asset, but not required
Good motor skills and the ability to do fine assembly
Ability to read and carefully follow instructions
Experience in a start-up or pilot production environments is an asset
Ability to plan and work within a team environment
Demonstrated sense of urgency - ability to move quickly and safely
Keen eye for process improvements
Confidence and ability to troubleshoot problems
Awareness of when to involve senior staff in more complex problems
1-2 years of relevant experience
Diploma or high school certificate
Ability to lift 50 lbs
Experience with light assembly of electronic hardware
Experience using G-Suite
Ability to solder would be considered an asset
