The Role The Lead Security Advisor will use their computer science and / or technical skills to support the implementation of the Health Information System (HIS).
Reporting to the HIS Director of Technology , the Lead Security Advisor is a part of the HIS project team and is responsible for ensuring all security requirements of the HIS project are fulfilled.
Coordinate HIS security template and role updates and establishes a security change control process; Coordinate security-
related activity across physical, infrastructure and HIS application; Work with HIS application and compliance teams to design system-
and, Transition HIS security to operations at the end of the HIS project. Key Criteria : Our ideal candidate must have a College Diploma or University Degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years in a lead role and 3 years of progressive security experience.
Certification in Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) preferred, and consideration may be given to one or more of the following certifications : Proven understanding of concepts of confidentiality and data security.
Working Security Administration experience. Working technical knowledge of IT technical environments with a strong understanding of IP, TCP / IP, and other network administration protocols.
Must demonstrate understanding of Windows, UNIX, and Apple operating systems. Strong analytical, technical, and troubleshooting skills.
Able to learn in a self-directed, fast paced, rapidly-changing environment. Excellent organization, verbal, facilitation, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
Ability to understand organizational requirements and their impact on the technical aspects of a solution. Strong project management skillsSkilled at tracking tasks, defining next steps, identifying owners, and holding people accountable.
Ability to coordinate activities involving multiple stakeholders such as vendors, subject matter experts, and internal teams.
