Loading... Title : Value Stream Lead (SCRUM Master) Job ID : ME339380930 Location : Edmonton, ABOur client is looking to hire a Value Stream Lead.

This role demonstrates a passion for Agile knowing when and how to advocate, with the ability to temper this enthusiasm in the context of a large, organizational transformation.

The Value Stream Lead is responsible to create and lead high-performing cross-functional teams to develop and ensure successful operation of Business and Member value through information, systems and technology that enables the organization to shape member financial fitness.

The individual will have leadership skills to help lead the team to build valuable and deliverable solutions every iteration.

The individual will also promote adherence to the agreed upon delivery process for the sprint; must be able to work independently, prioritize and multitask in a dynamic environment, adapt quickly to change and manage multiple demands simultaneously.

Strong facilitation, analysis, problem solving, networking and interpersonal skills is a necessity. Responsibilities :

  • Coach the team, the product owner and the organization on Agile, Scrum and DevOps best practices
  • Create and maintain the conditions that allow the team to be successful
  • Keep the team focused on delivering work items and fulfilling goals negotiated with the Product Owner and team members
  • Facilitate communication, empowering the team to continually self-optimize their processes, ensuring that the team has the resources that it needs, and removing any impediments to the team (issue resolution) in a timely manner
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications :

  • 7+ years management experience leading a development team in a medium to large sized organization
  • 5+ years of information technology experience
  • 3+ years experience utilizing Agile, Scrum or DevOps in a leadership role
  • Advanced knowledge and the application of agile practices and principles, incremental delivery and experience with metrics to effectively measure : execution, performance, benefits and value.
  • Working knowledge of iterative development, DevOps, Agile and continuous delivery practices.
  • Working knowledge of agile project management tools such as LeanKit, Jira or equivalent
  • Not required, but considered an asset : Experience with large scale software delivery and / or Agile transformation at scale in large enterprise organizationsOn the job experience as a developer or tester as part of a team an assetExperience in the Financial / Credit Union Industry or other Financial Institution an asset.
  • Experience working with ITIL

  • Education and Training : University, college or technical degree in Information Technology or business. Alternatively, extensive proven track record in the primary position disciplines within Financial Sector environment and / or Information Technology / Systems.
  • Licenses / Certificates : Certified Scrum Master / Professional Scrum Master / Agile Practitioner designation is considered an asset, but is not required.
