Job Description
Through effective interactions and case management, and in collaboration with Program Offices and other Student Services units, the Career Learning and Development (CLD) Advisor fosters student retention by helping students and alumni connect their academic learning to career paths and future goals.
The Advisor will is responsible for educating, supporting and coaching undergraduate and graduate students in practicum, internship and job search skills.
This includes facilitating non-academic career courses and workshops, and working with students in the areas of skills inventory, goal setting, job search tools, academic work-term searches and career explorations.
This also requires the CLD Advisor to work within their team to update and maintain the unit’s protocols, documents and publications, including : electronic handbooks, student contracts, website information and RRU’s industry database.
The CLD Advisor also actively engages with the business community to develop connections that support internship, practicum and career opportunities and to promote CLD and RRU initiatives.
Job Requirements
Additional Information This is a regular, full-time position working 37.5 hours per week. This position has been evaluated at MPT-C with a salary range of $66,843 (minimum) to $78,639 (midpoint) to $90,434 (maximum) per annum.
Employment offers will normally be made between the minimum and midpoint of the range and are determined by knowledge, experience and internal equity.
