The Sales Associate is a direct customer facing role. A successful Sales Associate will be an outgoing individual with a natural propensity to meet new people.
The Sales Associate needs to be have the ability to translate technical service information to basic information that non-technical people will understand.
The focus will be in explaining the Company's Internet, Phone and TV offering in the community. The candidate should be confident and well prepared to answerproduct service and basic technical questions from the potential customers.
The Sales Associate will engage with potentialresidential customers at a store front operation in downtown West Lorne. The Sales Associate will also be responsible for canvassing pre-determined neighborhoods of West Elgin to invite residents to the store front.
The candidate will speak with residents and hand out promotional materials door to door. Candidates should be comfortable speaking with residents at their front doors and persuading them to purchase our Fibre Optic High-Speed Internet, Phone and TV solutions.
Compensation will be a combination of hourly rateor salary and commission.
Meet with potential home and small business internet customers to explain the different Internet, Phone and TV packages
Distribute promotional materials within West Elgin area
Meet potential customers at their home to discuss our services
Provide commercial leads to commercial Sales Consultants
Create buried service wire agreements for signed customers
Participate in community and company marketing events
Enrollment in University or College computer sciences and / or business program is desirable
Previous experience in direct customer facing selling role
Minimum education High School Diploma
Required Experience and Competencies
Demonstrable and proven selling skills including exceptional verbal communication, rapport building, andclosing
Knowledge in the areas of computer networking, voice and data communications;
Understanding of home entertainment equipment (satellite / IPTV / cable, WiFi, Smart TV and Phones)
Ability to utilize electronic Point of Purchase tablet softwareagreements with multiplestakeholders
Demonstrated ability to work in a Team environment
Strong presentation skills including design and delivery of technical information to non-technical people
Ability to manage and translate objectives into actions, which are specific, measurable, and achievable with realistictimelines and report weekly progress on achievement
Ability to work effectively with shifting demands and rapidchange
Confidence and desire to make a target number of cold calls and be measured on your performance and report weekly against targets
High level of proficiency with MS Office (specifically PowerPoint, Excel and Word)
