Our client has an immediate opportunity for a Millwright to join their team.
Shifts available :
Wage : $30 per hour plus shift premium and benefits after probationary period.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Diagnose and troubleshoot production equipment and / or facility equipment.
Have the ability to follow department policies and procedures and work within industry guideline.
Experience with drill presses, grinders, saws, and other machine shop tools.
Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections.
Provide solution to routine or unique equipment problems.
Promptly respond to equipment related issues with customer oriented manner.
Other duties as assigned by managers.
Valid Trade Certificate of Qualification from the Province of Ontario as a Millwright
Must be willing to complete a practical trade test
3+years of mechanical systems (rollers, bearings, and conveyors systems), pneumatics, hydraulics, metal fabrication, and machining experience
Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures such as guarding and lock-out / tag-out procedures
Experience with basic electrical an asset
Demonstrated shop experience with various hand tools ex. grinder
Familiar with health and safety regulations when working with tools and / or around equipment
Good troubleshooting skills
Able to follow verbal and written instruction
Sense of urgency when dealing with tight deadlines
Welding skills will be an asset.
Attention to details and work quality.
