This individual will be responsible to perform monthly analysis on P&L and other areas to ensure accuracy and provide explanation on variances to plan and forecasts.
Your efforts will be concentrated on all aspects of the company with particular attention to product and Project Cost Accounting for the group and the analysis of variances and interpreting results regarding monthly P&L and trend reports.
Financial Planning and Reporting key player between global entities and the corporate groups with regard to budgets and long-
term plan, planning and reporting activities, working capital management, analysis, consolidation and related systems and organization development.
Driving analysis of activity based costing against Standard / Budget, research and explain variances and report this information monthly or as needed.
Providing support in audits including tax audits
Working with F&A Controller to complete the quarterly financial review package
Being a lead member of the SAP implementation team
Supports month-end closing activities with the Accounting Supervisor
Preparing monthly intercompany reconciliations
Maintaining the Fixed Asset listing
Working on ad hoc projects or special analysis as required
Prepare the annual SR&ED claim
Keeping up-to-date on current financial reporting developments and determining their impact on the company

Mid-level CPA student with a degree in Finance or Accounting
Background in financial statement, product / cost analysis with preference in multi-entity, multi-currency, consolidations
Experience in formalized audit processes-both external and internal
2-4 years demonstrable and progressive experience in financial reporting and analysis with significant emphasis in multinational corporations.
Fine chemical and / or the pharmaceutical industry exposure will be advantageous.
Highly pro-active and innovative approach to problem solving and performance enhancement
Experience in implementation and operation of financial modules of major ERP system, particularly SAP FICO a significant advantage
Proactive individual who is motivated, highly energetic, driven by continuous improvement and meets objectives in a timely and planned manner
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and organizational skills with a focus on detail
