ABOUT THE ROLE

The ENDE Manager is the primary person accountable for resource allocation and the successful delivery of project support in the Engineering-

Design (ENDE) team. This role will act as the liaison between the ENDE team and the different Business Units and Project Managers.

The ENDE Manager will contribute to the successful delivery of multiple simultaneous projects by negotiating the statements of work for projects and activities and then managing the ENDE contrition to the matrixed project team.

The ENDE Manager will work alongside with the various internal Project Managers on projects planning, ENDE resources allocation based on the priorities established for the company, and will be their onsite representative helping coordinating activities and tracking progress on a daily basis.

  • Working alongside with internal stakeholders to realize the company’s vision, the ENDE Manager will have to de-conflict priorities, develop plans to meet unexpected situations, new developments and changes in the business environment;
  • prepare for emergencies; anticipate events; understand the factors and conditions affecting the organization and respond appropriately when these changes are implemented.

    The person in this role will be expected to bring a blend of maturity, common sense, team building and experience in manufacturing, design, engineering and project management to ensure projects are successfully accomplished.

    Working closely with the Director, Industrial Design the ENDE Manager will make a significant contribution to the team’s capabilities, organization and long term fitness for role.

    The key output for this role is to provide clear visibility of resources usage and workload, of the progress of the ENDE team’s activities, and of the projects pipeline for the next 6 to12 months.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead multidisciplinary team composed of designers, engineers and technicians, providing guidance and leadership to ensure projects progress according to plans.
  • Coordinate internal activities for effective execution of projects.
  • Participate in projects planning and provide guidance to other project managers for coherent resources allocation and priority management.
  • Mitigate conflicts between projects with a focus on driving for a result that is ultimately focused on the long-term best interests of Revision.
  • Track progress of the ENDE tasks to ensure that all projectsare deliveredon-time and within scope.
  • Ensure proper communication and transfer of information between the project managers and the ENDE team.
  • Manage ENDE activities, to include progress tracking, facilitating team meetings and preparing / delivering status reports.
  • Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation in line with Revision procedures.
  • Presents information to the ENDE team and Project managers in a comprehensive and concise manner.
  • Be able to provide advice and support to a ENDE team that regularly works under pressure to deliver life-saving equipment.

    Applicants should have strategic ability, experience dealing with ambiguity, and be good negotiators.

    WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline, Industrial Design, or project management.
  • Minimum 10 year’s engineering or technical project management or product development experience in a product or solutions driven company with a global customer base.
  • Proven track record in managing resources and departments.
  • Demonstrable project management experience leading cross-functional teams in product development effort ensuring that resources are used in the most productive and cost effective way PMP certification a plus.
  • Experience managing and developing products with highly defined customer technical requirements and governing technical standards.
  • A solid technical background in applying a hands on approach to developing technology and products as part of a team and as an individual.
  • Passion for exploration and the ability to learn quickly.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, ability to successfully operate in a highly-charged matrix organization.
  • Responsiveness to external and internal customers and a can-do, positive attitude are a must.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of time to include internationally.
