Position Purpose

Identifies and fosters new international business opportunities and partnerships to increase the University’s revenues, international presence, and recruitment of international students.

Provides recommendations and recruitment strategies to grow current internationalization programs and implement new ones.

Engages in meaningful business relationships with the University’s domestic and international partners in order to further the University’s internationalization goals.

Essential Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in business, marketing, international relations or other relevant field

At least 5 years’ experience in business and partnership development, international education, marketing, student recruitment, or other related field

Demonstrated strong and successful business development skills, preferably in international education and student recruitment

Proven motivation, drive and ability to identify, initiate and foster long-term business relationships and opportunities is essential

Understanding of the nature and needs of public sectors, NGOs and post-secondary institutions around the world

Excellent communication skills

Financial planning skills and ability to draft viable budgets

Proactive, self-reliant attitude and ability to work well with limited supervision

Computer literacy, including the ability to use CRM software and student information systems (SIS)

Availability and willingness to travel in Canada and abroad, and to work outside of regular business hours or on weekends

Good social skills to participate in networking activities, luncheons and public relations events

Bilingualism French and English (spoken and written)

Fluency in other languages, especially Spanish or Portuguese, is an asset
