An employee-owned, Canadian company, Associated Engineering provides a broad base of consulting engineering services in the transportation, infrastructure, water, environmental, building, energy, and asset management sectors.

We currently have an opening for an Intermediate Transportation Engineer in our Kelowna office.

The successful candidate will be involved in the design and technical delivery of transportation projects while working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams of planners, engineers and technologists on a variety of projects for both public and private sector clients.

  • Duties will include : functional, preliminary and detailed design; liaising with multidisciplinary teams, cost estimating;
  • tender preparation; contract administration; project management; client liaison; and quality control and quality assurance.

    Job Requirements

    What you will bring to the table :

  • Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • Registered, or eligible to register, as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in the province of British Columbia.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, including work on transportation projects for Provincial and Municipal clients.
  • Experience in geometric design of provincial highways, urban streets, rural roads, intersections and roundabouts.
  • Experience in cost estimating, tender preparation and contract administration on transportation projects.
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D. Experience using CAiCE would be a definite asset.
  • Ability to write technical sections of reports and proposals
  • Strong communications and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines and schedules.
  • Attention to detail, rational, organized and take pride in a job well done.
