Toronto’s most vulnerable residents, many of them homeless, will find a warm welcome, a hearty breakfast, and a few hours respite from the cold at St.
John the Compassionate Mission. As the homeless shelters across the city close at 6am, many people will have nowhere else to go
VOLUNTEERS ARE URGENTLY NEEDED to help prepare and serve breakfast. St. John’s drop in center is open Tuesday through Friday 5am-9am Tuesday.
You will work as the Assistant Breakfast Cook working alongside an experienced professional cook. Your job will be to assist in the preparation of scrambled eggs, pancakes, bacon, and sausages for approximately 100 people per day.
You will be asked to commit to at least one regular four-hour shift per week.
