The Product Manager will report to the VP of Collaboration and Applications and be responsible for next generation cloud products that Mitel sells as part of its regional or global portfolio.

The Product Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the Product including Product Lifecycle and the inter-working with the solution as well associated services.

  • Work with Sales to understand customer / market problems and prioritizes appropriately
  • Works with Product Management, R&D, Sales Engineering and others to devise a product strategy, a product roadmap and release planning
  • Works with Sales, Operations, Product Marketing and others to successfully launch the product into the market
  • Manages the product life cycle and takes product releases through the applicable internal processes
  • Acts as the voice of customer into the product life cycle and broader product organization
  • Work internationally both internally and externally
  • Day to Day Management responsibilities

  • Customer and Competitive Intelligence - Intense interaction with customers and user group.
  • Understanding of competition to devise offensive and defensive strategies to respond to problems posed.
  • Understand regional differences.
  • Detailed Product Definition, Positioning, Business Planning
  • Devise Strategy for Product, Roadmap and Release planning. Take releases through product development process
  • Drive cloud based offerings (AWS / GCP)
  • Close interaction with R&D during Analysis and Implementation phase. Refine definitions and requirements. Define and refine UX.
  • Trade-off between schedule vs. functionality

  • Definition of necessary deliverables for launching product. Define how to sell / deliver and support the product. Define buying process.
  • Product Launch dependencies and lineup.

  • Structuring of Commercial Offer and Pricing. Define offer structure and necessary supplementary offers (e.g. Pro Service, SWA).
  • Work with various groups to deliver for launch. Define List Pricing

  • Evangelism - Evangelize products, positioning and differentiation. Act as ultimate point of contact inside and in front of channel partners / customers to help products succeed.
  • Product / Solution Lifecycle management - Continuously evaluate existing product lines and pricing. Lifecycle and EOL decisions.
  • Pricing needs to be in alignment with where product is in the lifecycle.


  • Advanced or Bachelor's degree from an accredited college / university, preferably in Business Administration, Engineering, or other related field.
  • In-depth understanding of Product, Features & Capabilities
  • Secure Market Insight & Knowledge of Competition
  • In-depth Knowledge of Communication Technologies including regulatory and technical forces and trends
  • Knowledge of cloud based computing and as a service offerings desired
  • Business Background & Understanding of GTM, Pricing, Business Models
  • Well versed in Product Definition & Product Lifecycle Management
  • Intimate understanding of Product definition & relating this to customer benefits. Compares to competitive or substitute Product & Solutions
  • Business & Financial Acumen
  • Strong Problem Solving Skills
  • Project Management Skills (tying all deliverables for Product Launch)
  • Ability to translate customer asks into concise technical & marketing requirements while balancing with ability to execute
  • Ability to lead a team and be a team member
  • Good communicator with focus on clear & concise internal communication and communication both at commercial & in-depth technical level with end customer & partner

  • 8-10 years in product development or similar role
