The Center for Cabinetmaking and Furniture Innovation (Inovem) has been in operation for over 35 years, is an integral part of the production and innovation system of the furniture and cabinet making sector throughout the country Quebec.

Its mission is to increase the productivity and competitiveness of companies in the cabinetmaking, furniture and wood-looking products on the national and international scenes.

THE NATURE OF THE POSITION AND THE CHALLENGES

Under the authority of the director of the National School of Furniture and Cabinetmaking, the coordinator assumes planning functions , organization, management, control and evaluation of the activities and resources of the CCTT and ensures its development.

SOME ATTRIBUTIONS OF CHARACTERISTICS

As part of his duties, the incumbent :

  • Develops and implements implements the centre's strategic plan;
  • Develops and implements an annual work plan;
  • Highlights the development niches related to the field of furniture and cabinet making;
  • Develops alliances and partnerships with external stakeholders in order to develop applied research projects and carry out technology transfer;
  • Carries out canvassing and networking activities;
  • Coordinates the activities of the center;
  • Ensures the dissemination of applied research products;
  • Determines the human, financial and material resources needs and ensures their control;
  • Inform the staff under their responsibility and direct them in particular with regard to reception, work integration, content and distribution of tasks s, in professional development, the application of personnel and working conditions policies, assesses performance;
  • Prepares the budget and manages it within approved limits;
  • Designs and implements and adapts administrative systems and processes for coordinating activities with other CEGEP Services.

    His political sense allows him to establish strategic alliances with the main partners in the field of furniture and cabinet making at local, regional, national and international levels, with the aim of defending with conviction the interests of the Center and d '' ensure its development.

    She is able to provide the necessary accountability to the various authorities.

    THE REQUIREMENTS

    To fulfill this role, you must have :

  • An undergraduate university degree in a field ofappropriate specialization;
  • Five (5) years of relevant experience. The combination of university training and experience related to management and cabinetmaking provides an advantage;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the furniture and cabinetmaking industry;
  • Excellent command of written and spoken French;
  • A proven sense of customer service;
  • A great capacity for analysis and synthesis.
  • WORKING CONDITIONS

    The remuneration and working conditions are those agreed in accordance with the Regulations determining certain conditions of work of CEGEP executives , for an executive, class 6 ($ 73,515 to $ 98,017).

    One-year contract until June 30, 2021.
