Reporting into the Accounting Reporting and AP team, this role is perfect for a finance or accounting student looking to gain experience in a large, well-established finance department.
About the role
Opportunity to work with a highly collaborative and welcoming finance team
Support month-end and quarter-end financial reporting including the preparation of journal entries and reconciliations
Provide timely, accurate, and complete financial information to support ad-hoc requests and special projects
Assist with regulatory reporting and surveys
Identification of any potential problems or risk areas as well as opportunities for process improvement
Assist in the creation of new reporting and analysis to support decision making
Assist in the preparation of presentation materials
Role will provide candidate with CPA PERT hours if required
What do you bring to the role?
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and interpersonal skills
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines
Work Location : the position will either be a hybrid (1-3 days in office) or fully remote. These positions are spread across our different locations including Kitchener / Waterloo, Mississauga and Toronto
