Position Summary : We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst with Budgeting and Forecasting experience, as well as Hyperion exposure.
The successful candidate will be a strong Financial Analyst with excellent Forecasting, Budgeting and Reconciliation, a CGA or CMA (or CA), and a strong user or super user of Hyperion and its related tools (Essbase or HFM).
The F.A. will work closely with the business management and client services team to complete the plan, budget and forecast data collection process using excel templates and Hyperion Planning.
The F.A will consolidate and analyze monthly, quarterly and yearly results providing high level guidance and commentary.
The candidate will assist in creating and analyzing complex allocation models to derive service rates. The F.A will identify and investigate unusual trends relating to financial results and the results from the allocation and chargeback processes.
Main Accountabilities :
Develop and deploy data collection templates in Excel and Hyperion Planning for budget and quarterly forecasts.
Create, document and analyze complex cost allocations to define service or product costs.
Manage and Communicate the impact of actuals to budget and forecast
Ad hoc financial modeling and analysis on actual, forecast, budget and plan data for expenses, headcount or capital
Manage the expense allocation model
Lead the initiative process and analysis from a finance perspective
Assist in the Preparation of monthly, quarterly and yearly financial packages
Proven experience in completing budgeting and forecast business processes
Proven experience in working with complex financial models
Strong understanding of cost allocation methodologies and experience working with allocation models.
Experience working in a service oriented organization and understanding service chargebacks and recoveries
Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables concurrently
Experience preparing executive level presentations
Superior analytical and quantitative and modeling skills
Identify trends, variances, and key issues and provide recommendations for improvement
Proven ability to build complex, flexible allocation models for scenario analysis
Education and Experience :
Professional accounting designation (CMA, CGA, CA) with an undergraduate degree in business
Minimum 3-5 years experience in the budget and forecasting business process
Minimum 2-3 years experience working with complex allocation models
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent oral and presentation skills
High sense of urgency
Advanced excel and Powerpoint skills
Super user of Hyperion Planning and Essbase
Compensation : up to 83k base, plus benefits and bonuses.
